The business tycoon and Chairman of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz Hussain was the chief guest for the occasion. He was accompanied by numerous renowned business personalities, the Bahria Town Peshawar management and the usual residents of the city of Peshawar.
Riaz, in his address to the audience present, said that the newly found project of Bahria Town Peshawar was a step forward in helping Peshawar come at par with other megacities of Pakistan. Moreover, this residential society will contribute to the overall economic development of the city and the country at large. Bahria Town Peshawar was to become a global class community where the basic facilities, namely that of education, mosques, healthcare, commercial as well as recreation will be made available to the residents, with affordability lying at the heart of the project. Global standards of residential societies will be the benchmark for Bahria Town Peshawar to achieve, in order to provide luxurious living to the residents of Peshawar.
Malik Riaz also brought to the attention of the residents of Peshawar that Bahria Town will spread over a 100,000 kanals, comprising of 200,000 plots, residential apartments as well as houses ranging from small to big in area. The development project will be completed in a span of three years, a year earlier than the 4 year duration of the completion of Bahria Town, Karachi. Country Head of Bahria Town, Shahid Mehmood Qureshi also termed Bahria Town Peshawar to be a game changer for the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which has been stuck in development traps compared to other provinces. Being Asia’s largest private housing development company, Bahria Town vows to change the residential landscape of the city with its entry. The residents of Peshawar were hopeful and are looking forward to being residents of the society that has been a great success in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi earlier.
Thanking his team for all the hard work they put in, Malik Riaz said that it was his team who were to be appreciated for the success Bahria Town is today, and that Riaz himself barely followed their advice. He added that he only makes tiny amendments to the plan that his team members come up with since he trusts their abilities.
Although Malik Riaz did not as yet disclose the location of the project, but assured the residents that the entire team of Bahria Town had pledged to complete the project at all costs.
