A trusted source indicated that the authority, on January 2019, invited over the town planners to initiate the planning of DHA Quetta. The same source also disclosed that the authority has enlisted 20 firms to take part in this development project. A publication from December 5, 2019 stated that the construction had started at the main gate and machinery had also been employed in order to carry out excavation and land leveling.
DHA Quetta authority opened their residential, commercial, and farmhouse plots for the public to purchase on November 1, 2019. These plots are available on four-year payment plan. Plot sizes vary from 5 marlas residential plots to 8 kanals farmhouse plots. According to some sources, the developer has received a huge response from local investors mainly from Quetta and within Balochistan, and even overseas.
Form Submission Details
The application forms for applying for purchase are available on their official website.These application forms can be submitted for the processing fee online, through TCS or at all branches of Askari Bank, Habib Bank, United Bank, Bank Alfalah, and Allied Bank. It has also been stated on the application form that only active taxpayers are applicable to purchase plots of 1 Kanal or bigger.
The publication also says that they will soon conduct balloting in order to select the successful applicants after the form submissions are completed. Some reliable sources have indicated that the balloting will most likely be conducted in the last week of December. The ballot or processing fee for the plots are highly reasonable and affordable, and they vary across the sizes of different plots. It is to be noted that these fees are non-refundable. After the balloting has been conducted and the applicants have been selected successfully, they will be asked to submit their 1st installments within thirty days of the ballot and their 2nd installment within 60 days of the ballot. It has been clearly mentioned on the application form that the prices of the plots are exclusive of all taxes (federal, provincial, and local). Furthermore, the applicants will be informed by the DHA Quetta administration regarding the development charges that will be applicable to their property later on.
New Deadline for Form Submission
The deadline for form submission given by DHA Quetta administration was December 13, 2019 initially. But in the latest announcement by the administration, it was extended to December 20, 2019 due to an overwhelming response by the public. Deadline was stretched for people who couldn’t submit their applications in due time, as there were plenty of them. The administration was not expecting such a response from the public that was experienced especially during the last few days of the first deadline. They also extended their office timings to 8pm on 13th December due to loads of applications coming in.
